ENFP and ENTJ – Compatibility, Relationships, and Friendships The ENFP type prefers intuition to sensing (Using Extraverted Intuition). We should be careful, however, not to prematurely fault or criticize young ENFPs for such discrepancies. After all, as extraverted Perceivers, their primary mode of operation is one of adaptation. Moreover, developing a firm identity, especially early in life, should, at least in theory, be of greater concern for IP types, whose dominant function is one of inner Judging Fi or Ti.
Concerns about finding a suitable career or relationship can also tend to push the identity issue for ENFPs, which may unfortunately hinder their natural course of type development. Ideally, ENFPs would exercise patience in young adulthood, allowing their Fi values to emerge over time. With exposure to different cultures and ideas, they can gradually use and develop their Fi, clarifying their identity and preferred course in life.

Unfortunately, as is true of other types, ENFPs are prone to taking apparent short-cuts to wholeness by granting their inferior function control over their decision-making. So instead of patiently abiding in their Ne-Fi process, they allow their Si to take precedence, deferring to what is comfortable, familiar, or easy.
Unfortunately, they may later come to regret their failure to grant themselves more time to fully flesh out their Ne-Fi values and interests prior to making such huge commitments.
They are among the most creative personality types, displaying a love for the arts, music, and culture. While also enjoying intellectual or theoretical discussions, this is typically of lesser concern that it is for their ENTP counterparts. ENTJs who allow themselves time to be alone, and develop the introspective "feeling" side of their natures, will be generally "softer" individuals, who are more aware of their partners' emotional needs.
However, this awareness is almost always a conscious attempt on the part of the ENTJ, rather than a naturally occuring characteristic.
ENTJs who do not make the attempt to be aware of others, and to value their feelings and opinions, may find themselves in unbalanced relationships, where real communication does not take place. These kinds of situations present a two-edged sword to the ENTJ. The ENTJ does not usually have a problem with self-confidence and is not especially emotionally needy. Although they enjoy being told that they are loved and appreciated, they don't need to hear these types of avowals as often as most other types.

Even with effort, the ENTJ may have problems being aware of other's emotional needs, and they most likely won't understand those needs even if they are aware of them. ENTJs approach conflict as an opportunity for growth and learning. This is a very healthy outlook in general, but may be a problem in a close relationship with a Feeling type.
Individuals with the Feeling preference generally detest conflict and criticism, and avoid it as one would avoid a deadly snake.
Otherwise, ENTJs will probably have the most successful intimate relationships with types which prefer the Thinking process naturally, or who are not extremely strong on the Feeling preference. In general, the ENTJ has a lot to offer to their intimate relationships.
They're dedicated and enthusiastic, and willing to put forth a lot of effort to make things work out. They take on responsibility and accountability, and expect to be in charge. Their relationship will be one based on mutual respect, constant growth and development. How did we arrive at this?

The feeler can help the thinker understand their emotions more, but can be seen as too emotional and flighty to a thinker.
However, both of these types can make for a very healthy balance. The ENFP has a rich inner world of morals, feelings, and ideals that it seeks to better understand.
The ENFP tends to use this inner guidance as a force to help shape the future world. The ENTJ wants the world to be logical and orderly. The ENTJ wants conclusive plans of action and concrete understand of the way things works.
